La Pedriza Natural Area

La Pedriza is a beautiful natural area roughly 5 km from the centre of Herencia, on the CM-420 towards Puerto Lápice. Also known as 'Los Pozos del Agua', it houses the Nature Classroom (in the old Casa del Pozo) and the iconic La Copa water tower. Its Mediterranean vegetation of holm oaks, kermes oaks, and aromatic herbs makes for a pleasant walk and provides habitat for numerous bird species.
