Plaza de España

Plaza de España is Herencia's nerve centre — a wide, sun-filled space presided over by the striking red-stone façade of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Ringed by bar and café terraces, the square is the natural stage for the town's festivities, from the exuberant Carnival to the solemn Holy Week processions, and the daily meeting point for locals. This is where the town's pulse beats loudest.
